Starting in 1981, in Montevideo, Uruguay, his native city of birth, Luis E. Andrade has been continuously working in the industry as a ship agent. First as a clerk in J.R. Williams, one of the oldest steamship agencies in the southern hemisphere, with over 150 years of uninterrupted business. He then moved to the States where he’s been working as a manager for two different agencies, in the traffic, operations and tramp divisions, before taking the reins of Sandpiper International in 1998.
